Sweet Evalina’s Stand is our go-to for grinders and sandwiches. Located just a few miles away in Woodstock, CT, this is your best bet for quick, easy, and delicious lunch.

Jessica Tuesday’s is a little restaurant in Putnam, CT; open for dinners, Thursday-Saturdays only, reservations required. The pasta is made onsite and can be done gluten free, local ingredients are used. They have a small changing menu pending what is available fresh that week. Lovely outdoor patio surround by stone on the back of parking areas has wonderful atmosphere as well.   10-15 minutes to Putnam.

Coriander Cafe is located in the center of Eastford, CT and offers an assortment of cold and hot sandwiches.

The Vanilla Bean Cafe is located in Pomfret, CT and is known for their delcious soups and sandwiches.

Dinner

The Mansion at Bald Hill is an great restaurant in a historic four story Mansion built in the late 1800’s; a summer home for Roxanna Bowen. The dining room has tall ceilings, is lined with bookshelves, fireplace and lovely views of the gardens. Chefs Scott and Joel do an excellent job, changing the menu seasonally and using local organic ingredients. Advance reservations suggested, especially during Summer/Fall/holidays, until they finish their expansion, sometimes closed for private events. Three miles away.

Inn at Woodstock Hill is a lovely country inn started in the early 1800’s by a member of the Bowen family who still own some of the surrounding farmland today. Chef Eric is uses local ingredients and wonderful specials nightly. Advance reservations suggested here, sometimes a large wedding could close or crowd the Inn. Three miles away.

Grill 37 is a steakhouse set in a historic building with many separate rooms for dinning, including a lounge/bar area as well. Chefs Ian and Josh make everything in house, sauces, stocks, breading for seafood, even the desserts, caringly prepared in their kitchen. The meats are cut on site, the only thing frozen is chicken tenders on the children’s menu.  10 minutes to Pomfret.

Courthouse Bar and Grille is a casual pub style restaurant in Putnam, CT.

Thai Place is located in Putnam, CT and offers quite excellent Thai food. Pad Thai is one of the best in our opinion.

Elizabeth’s Farmhouse is our favorite restaurant in Putnam, CT. Offering farm to table dining, this is your best bet. Expect to wait for a table during peak dining times (but well worth the wait!).

Sherwood’s Restaurant & Bar is casual dining in Putnam, CT. Burgers, wings, and pretzel w/ beer cheese are all excellent.
